Affectionately known as Mama Nezaa, Nezaa Bandele is the founder of Paradise Natural Foods, a Detroit-based food business rooted in a simple belief: good food should nourish the body, celebrate culture, and bring people together.
A natural foods chef, community health educator, and lifelong advocate for wellness, Nezaa brings together her love of cooking, Caribbean and African food traditions, and a deep commitment to community.
Founded in 2014, Paradise Natural Foods grew from community markets and pop-ups into a business offering handcrafted vegan cakes, flavorful catering, and Real Caribbean Sea Moss products.
For Nezaa, food has always been about more than what's on the plate. It's about honoring our roots, supporting local food systems, and creating something that nourishes both people and community.
